We were excited when we got a chance to bottle some Jamaican rum for an importer. Because it meant we could have freshly dumped rum barrels to finish our whisky. We filled the rum casks the day they were emptied with some of our STR casks. This amazing release smells like a rum but tastes like whisky with an amazing lingering finish.

Nose: the nose opens with a basket of tropical fruits, mango, toasted coconut, and grilled plantains, followed by strawberry, honey, and melon, and ending with a whiff of fresh baked buttermilk biscuits.
Color: Manuka honey
Palate: Hard strawberry candy on the front followed by, dried coconut, and, banana pudding, overlayed with white pepper and allspice
Finish: The finish pulsates with light waves of green papaya, ginger, and Barq’s root beer all melded together
ABV: 57%
